Stealing a $75,000 check from his high school? My goodness….

Thought he had got it together.

I saw him a couple of years ago in the Harrah’s in Biloxi. Not exactly the Bellagio of the Gulf Coast

quote:

Former No. 1 NFL draft pick JaMarcus Russell has been removed from the coaching staff at the high school he attended in Mobile, Alabama, and is facing a lawsuit accusing him of taking money meant as a donation to the school. “JaMarcus Russell was relieved of his volunteer coaching duties at Williamson High School during the fall of last year,” Mobile County Public School officials told WKRG Sports. Russell is also facing a lawsuit alleging that he took a $74,000 check intended as a donation to the school and kept the money for himself. Chris Knowles, a local business owner who wrote the check, says Russell approached him about a donation to help the Williamson High School football team purchase weight room equipment, and Knowles gave Russell the donation by check. But the school allegedly never got any of that money, and Russell reportedly deposited it in a credit union and promptly withdrew $55,000 of that.

It’s honestly amazing how so many former athletes who made tens of millions go broke so quickly. Sad

What a loser. Anyone with half a brain knew he would be a bust in the NFL. I can’t believe the raiders used the number one overall pick on him.

Apparently he hasn’t gotten any smarter or wiser over the years. Such a huge waste of talent. He could have set himself up for life with generational wealth but flushed it all down the toilet.

Furthermore, now he’s showing that he’s a piece of shite human being who’s willing to steal donation money from schools.

This is a crock of shite.

Jamarcus always needed structure. Raiders were a horrible spot for him. Put him with an organization like the Steelers or Packers, he would have had the opportunity to be much better.

Lacks half a brain. Point proven

I predicted that JaMarcus would be a bust in the NFL and was 100% right. He was lazy, not very smart, and made bone-headed plays when challenged in tough games. Unbelievable that I could see what NFL execs could not.

And no it wouldn’t have mattered which team he went to. He had zero work ethic.

I just remember reading his article a couple years ago…..

“Y’all don’t know a damn thing about Jamarcus Russell”

Was honestly hoping for the best for him.

He did score a 24 on the NFL Wonderlic compared to Vince Young’s 6.

I remember hearing Jordy saying his uncle took half his signing bonus and invested it in properties along the coast. Jordy said all of that was keeping Jamarcus rich after NFL… anyone remember Jordy talking about that? Jordy also said K Moses was the most locked in LSU recruit of all time sooooooo

I've defended a lot of QBs with this same argument, but JM didn't even participate in film study. He's to blame for that one, and this is one of the few times I give the Raiders a mulligan. JM was just lazy. Period. There's not a single NFL franchise he'd have been successful with.

Strange thing about this is that he isn’t being criminally charged.

He’s probably 40 now. I bet he could still throw the ball 75 yards in the air. All world talent, but couldn’t get right.
