Just saw a man put mayonnaise on his meatball parm sub

I saw a man eating a meatball parm sub while driving past a Subway and noticed he put mayonnaise on it. I was so shocked that I had to do a double-take. I've never seen anyone put mayonnaise on a meatball parm sub before. I'm not sure if it's a regional thing within NOLA or im just being a snob. What's your opinion? Yay or gross?

Sickest i ever got In all my years at lsu was from eating a meatball footlong from the subway next to campus.
