Do you think Gavin wants this candidacy, taking it at this stage?

I’d normally say hell no to that question diggity dave, but we must consider who we’re talking about here and the apparent soundness of his/their decision making processes.

Maybe but I'm not so sure. The state of the economy, border, all the lawfare shite - I'm not sure a guy that thinks he's going to be president someday would want to take over the shitshow Biden has spent years making.

2028

Look for the uniparty congress in DC to try and strip executive power they delegated before trump takes over again.

Absolutely he does. Dude is slime and would have better than a punchers chance of getting the presidency without ever campaigning until the final bit.

He would have the entire weight of the media, Hollywood, tech, etc behind him. You bet your arse he’d take it.

Trump is willing to. A slew of other Republicans were as well. Newsom is a politician, he would as well. You strike when the iron is hot. Who knows what's going on in '28.

A Newsom nomination would fracture the Democrat Party even much more worse than it may be now.

Puh-leeze.

DeSantis called him out on it months ago at their debate. Gavin was just a little too vehement in his denials.

He’s gotta play the caring and supporting role so he can garner support when the time comes.

What would Newsom's odds be of winning this November after Biden has fricked up so much of the country, and by the way he, a white dude, would have to pass over the DEI hire for the nomination?

What would his odds be in '28 after "literal Hitler" held office for four years?

I think losing this year would hurt his '28 chances.

99.9% of dems are voting for whoever has a D next to their name. Especially against Trump.

Better than Biden's. He's a fresh face that the left and middle will eat up. Doesn't matter that he's garbage, they don't care.

The problem the Dems have is that their identity politics have them in a tight spot. The only person people like less than Biden is Harris, and if they send Biden out to pasture and pass on Harris, it is going to seriously piss off a lot of the party.

Do you think Newsom gives a frick about that? All Newsom cares about is being president, no matter when.

Again my question - when would his chances be best?

LOL. I think over 100% of Dems will vote for whoever has a D in front of their name.

Cont forget about the dead ones who vote.

Probably 2028 when Trump is done and the MAGA movement fractures among different candidates.

I don’t think there is anyone who can carry the water of the current admin.
