What would the cost for Walker Kessler realistically be?

We need a rim protector and a starting center and Utah has come out and let teams know Kessler is available. To me he’s one of the most underrated players at any position in the NBA and he’s only making $3 mil a year. I’d love to be able to somehow get Kessler without including BI so we can use him for a PG or maybe we can add a 3rd team involved and get a PG in a deal for Kessler too. I think this guy next to Zion would be a really exciting duo.

I agree — I did not understand why we passed on him in the draft. No offense to Dyson but that Auburn team was nasty with him blocking every other shot. I’d trade almost anyone for him.

I've always liked Kessler. He can run, defend, block shots and rebound. He would change the whole dynamic under the rim. Underrated offensive game as well. Do it!

Considering Zion isn’t a good defender or rebounder, we do need a guy like Kessler

Zion improved in both of those departments by the end of the season.

Kessler also was getting better at his 3 point shot as well. He’d be the absolute ideal guy to play with Zion and if Griff can’t see that he’s blind. Screw Jarret Allen, this is the guy we need to target. A starting 5 of Murray, Herb, Trey, Zion and Kessler would be formidable.

4 year 35mill,15 guaranteed, possible 2 year team option. Just a spitball. Lost jv, have to replace 25 minutes. Get him unless there’s a medical concern.

Dyson, 21, and a fake 1st that converts into a 2nd in 8 years

Ainge is all about winning deals, so we'd have to blow them away. I would think 2 1sts and a young player would get them interested. He would probably want the 25 Lakers' pick, a future unprotected (option for 26 or 27), and Daniels. It's steep, but I think that's the range..

Not a chance he would get that for Kessler. If he does, it better not be from us.

I think just 2 1st for Kessler would get Ainge to do the deal. He loves draft picks to play with and Kessler, even with lots of potential, wouldn’t take a groundbreaking haul to get. I bet a 2025 1st and 2027 1st would do the deal.

Unless those picks were moderately protected, I am not sure I would do that. He could not get on the floor enough for Utah and I think only has a year left on his contract. His FT shooting will play him off the floor at the end of games. He is a great rim protector, but needs to learn to set screens and develop an offensive game. I think 1 1st is sufficient.
