Am I missing something? Why in the world is flights so outrageous? I’ve been in Vegas a dozen times and I’ve never seen such horrible times and sky high prices.

Booked mine back in January, knew this would end up being a shite show. They were expensive then as well. Seems like a lot of people are flying out of Houston.

I've watched the prices since janauary.
Finally decided to bite the bullet last week and book with my miles at the times I wanted. The prices never really changed so it just is what it is.

They’re freaking absurd. Not only the prices but the flights back leaving at 11 pm and midnight, wtf?
I finally said screw it and am going to the South Carolina game. I can get 50 yard line prime seats for 1/10th of what Vegas will cost

There's way cheaper flights out of ATL, Houston and DFW if you can drive to any of those places or, get a connecting flight, or even book a cheap flight there and then use another airline to get to Vegas. I got a $500 round-trip flight from ATL to Vegas flying in the morning of the game and back on Tuesday.

Because they know that people from Louisiana need to get to the game and back regardless of whether they have to pay a few extra hundred. I avoided that problem by going from Thursday to Tuesday.

There’s several other airports you can fly into & drive as alternative, cheaper options.
Also look into departing from a different airport like Houston or Dallas if it’s within reason from your location.

They’re all about 4-6 hrs too right?

They were cheap in December when I booked but a bunch of dumbasses posted on here telling people to wait because flights always go down. Holiday weekend + events in town = prices not going down

I just found Delta flights from BTR to Vegas with 1 stop for $400.
Saturday to Tuesday.
