Any of y'all fans of Austin City Limits ? It's been around for a long time, and has had many great performances throughout the years.

This is my favorite show from that series. Would have loved to have seen this in person ! Great set from Todd Snider & the Nervous Wrecks.

I was in Austin @ the time working at the State Capitol,, those that went couldn't stop talking about it

Any serious discussion on Austin becoming what it became that hipness between hippies and Cowboys and the way it became an obsession and now you got a bunch of posers and it's a thing but at one time it was an actual thing ,, it really was a VERY cool place ACL had a lot to do with that

I went to two Bob Schneider and a cancelled Willie,, not his fault ,, transportation issue

but they had a show,,, other muscisian who were there to play with Willie and others that were there,, put on a show,, short ,, making it up as they were going along but Edie Brikel sang one song

that chick,,, So sad she was taken off the market so early and they've stayed married so long she had potential... cute as frick,,, and the difference beautiful and cute and actually had a preference for the cute ones rather than the prettiest/sexiest

Edie was top level what I liked,,,

THIS DOESN'T VIOLATE THE COURT ORDER PAUL

Tough to top the first show they ever broadcast with Willie. Unfortunately they don't record the show in that original studio anymore. They have a nice soulless corporate space which reflects what Austin has become.

I have been since the late seventies. Are they still playing Jerry Jeff Walker's "London Homesick Blues" to start every show?

Not sure. I do know that Jerry Jeff Walker was one of Todd Sniders biggest influences, and John Prine as well.

I ran sound for him at the Supper Club many moons ago. I went to high school in San Marcos, TX and he told me he used to play at Pepper’s. Interesting dude from what I remember.

Some of my most cherished childhood memories are falling asleep on the sofa under the hum of a window unit AC on Saturday nights while my parents watched Austin City Limits on local PBS. I tried every Saturday night to make it through without falling asleep but I don't remember ever making it.

My parents would let me stay up late to watch every Saturday night on PBS. Those were the simple day of life.
