FATHER FIGURE
Biden changes plans, flies to Delaware and hugs first son on tarmac after federal conviction
President Biden arrived in Delaware just before 5 p.m. to greet his son, Hunter Biden, on the tarmac following his conviction on three federal charges.
Hunter Biden, his wife, Melissa Cohen Biden, and his son Beau Biden greeted the president on the tarmac. Biden hugged his son, and bent over to kiss the top of Beau’s head in the emotional scene.
They spoke for several minutes before Hunter and his family walked to board a separate vehicle.
A jury found Hunter Biden guilty Tuesday morning of charges related to lying about drug use on a federal form to purchase a firearm. He pleaded not guilty.

What I hate is how every time they mention “ Dr Jill “ in attendance, they call her his mother! I guess step mom doesn’t have quite the same ring to it.

It really warms the heart.
The most important lesson of this sad chapter in the Biden family’s exemplary public life is we make sure our loved ones suffering from addiction know that resources are available and there should be no stigma in asking for help.

There is no mocking here. These public servants should be lauded for the selfless example they provide for the American people. We all indeed should be thankful that the Biden family are negotiating the burdens of addiction with such bravery and dignity!

It's calling her 'Dr' that pisses me off.
A freaking doctorate in elementary education => bullshite on the honorarium.
I knew absolute genius professors in physics and math at LSU who said "nobody should feel disrespected by being called 'mister'" - (unless it is in an appropriate format where honorariums are the focus of attention.)

the whole thing is weird. he doesn't hug Hunters wife. did she hold her hand up? then he kisses the kid on the lips that is weird. Then he salutes his son out of dementia habit of being President.

They started to salute each other - then changed to trying to shake hands - then pedoJoe went after the child to kiss - and things just sort of drifted off toward awkward goodbye waves afterwards.
