Payne Stewart was an arse. People just revision love him because he wore knickers.

If you knew anything about the man, you would understand that at first he was an arse and he corrected his behavior and became a different person. So yes, he had his moments just like everyone does but overcame them.

The most unbelievable thing about is victory and 99 was what he went through and 98 add a tricked up Olympic club layout.

And he also wore knickers!

Wyndham Clark already moaning that the greens are borderline. Boo fricking hoo…this course is going to eat golfers up, and I will love it.

Pinehurst #2 is an all-time US Open course. I think it's up there with Oakmont, Pebble Beach, and Shinnecock Hills.

I'm glad it's in heavy rotation in the rota.

Agree with all but Pebble, unreal beauty but don't love it for the open.

If the wind doesnt blow then pebble isnt a great US open course

But the same could be said for most Open courses

Nah. He started out that way, but changed. He was an awesome dude after that.

Also... I was thinking the US Open was next week, not this week. Seems too soon.

IMO, they need to move the PGA back to the middle of August when it used to be. All these majors are crammed too close together now.

Check out the documentary about him.

He certainly started as an arse but he grew into a great guy.

Just for reference, what were prime Tiger odds in majors? Just curious to see.

Found his odds entering Augusta. Scottie being +260 right now is pretty wild.

Amen to this. Having the major championship season over in July just doesn't seem right imo
