Illinois transfer #1 player in the transfer portal and projected 2nd round draft pick will be visiting LSU. One of his criteria for the school he transfers to “I want to be able to enjoy a football game”

The fact that we’re getting this guy on campus is giving me a lot of hope for the trajectory of the program. Would be something if we snagged him.

Would probably be a Top 25 overall player next season based on EM. For reference, only 5 of the Top 25 played in the SEC last season.

If… big if…. We land Hawkins, this off season couldn’t have gone much better and would be McMahon strongest roster

I would guess they would make room

Yeah if Coleman wants in, you make room

I’d have real optimism heading into the 2024-2025 season if Hawkins chooses LSU.

Would be a huge get but unless his price has come down over the past couple weeks I don't see LSU being in his wheelhouse for NIL value....After withdrawing from the NBA draft his agent reached out to let schools know he’s looking for a pay day on par with Great Osobor (reported $2 million).
He has eliminated all B10 and Big East schools in addition to other P5 schools that aren't competitive in football. You would think the SEC in general and LSU football does give us a nod there regardless of NIL top dollars.
Its possible he waited too long and all the big money is allocated at other non-Big 10 or Big East power schools. Osobor is ranked #14 overall by On3 while Hawkins is at #17 overall so is a pretty close comparison. Osobor may have the advantage of having 2 years remaining and a strong in the paint game while Hawkins has a more rounded game and better passing.

Yeah lol idk why people are saying it’s a long shot. If he is sticking to what he is saying in terms of criteria LSU is the obvious choice

I would assume LSU knows what he is looking for NIL wise, can’t see them bringing him in to waste each other’s time.
