She doesn't take the US for granted anymore. The experience in Russia was a bitter red pill for her.

Probably a good thing for her. She has the talent obviously but she needs the rest.

So bitter that she went back to complaining about her salary after 4 months home.

Should hire the merchant of death as head coach

That would be hilarious.

And beat our asses.

This country is run by morons. Sports is likeability and pure entertainment. Leaving her off ensures no eyeballs. Good job promoting your sport you frickin' clowns.

This is really dumb. She is by far the most popular women's player ever. You reap what you sow women's basketball... no wonder nobody has given 2 shits about your product when you do stupid shite like this. Oh well now nobody will watch now like usual. And half of the roster shouldn't even be on the roster for treasonous acts... I'm looking at you Britney you dude.

Colas went on to say that Griner feels that she temporarily lost her “American freedoms” when she was wrongfully prosecuted in Russia. As a result, now she feels differently about the anthem than she once did.

“Having been put in a literal cage, too small for her frame, stripped of her essential American freedoms, and deprived of even her most basic rights during a sham trial and unjust sentencing, Brittney, supported by many other players, will make a statement this WNBA season by standing tall for those uniquely American freedoms — the most important of which being the absolute and inviolable and constitutionally protected freedom to stand, sit, kneel, praise, protest, and otherwise make your voice heard,” Colas explained.
