Looking to take a group of 10-12 ladies out for dinner in New Orleans. We will be there for our annual meeting. We go every year, so I feel like we've run out of anything new. I was looking at Restaurant Rebirth, any thoughts? Also open to any suggestions. Something nice, but not so out there that they can't all find something appealing.

Whats the average age of the group? Is there a specific price point? Does it have to be "New Orleans food" and is atmosphere as important as the food?

We are all from Louisiana, so no doesn't have to be New Orleans. But enough variety, ie - steak and seafood, so that everyone can have options. Price point really isn't an issue. Atmosphere fun, not so loud that we can't enjoy. Good drinks are a plus!

Where have you already been? That may give folks ideas and also avoid suggesting repeat restaurants.

Ah, let me think about that. I wasn't going to send a bunch of 60 year olds to Hungry Eyes and TellMeBar, or a bunch of 20 year olds to some stuffy old boring place.

If you're looking for new and exciting, the aforementioned Hungry Eyes would be fun, 80s inspired hipster upscale place from the Turkey and the Wolf Team. 10 would be hard inside, not sure they could accommodate that, but outside they likely could if you call ahead.

Jolie is also a hot spot and could definitely accommodate 10. It is definitely a younger crowd after let's say 9pm. Its a "Loungerie", a combination Lounge and Brasserie and becomes a little Club-y after say 10pm.

Elysian Bar is awesome and might be able to accommodate you, and you could all go to Bacchanal afterwards for wine and music.

Osteria Lupo of you want more upscale Italian.

Trying to give you more out of the box suggestions than others might give more traditional options.

Costera can usually accommodate larger crowds in advance, and its a fun option because its Tapas and good atmosphere.

Peche could also likely do 10-12 with advance notice

No sure why I didn't think of it, but Pigeon and Whale would really hit the spot for that crowd. However, you would definitely have to do 10-12 well in advance, and it would be at one long booth table I would imagine, and its a very lively, loud place.

But that group would love it.

N7 and Compere Lapin would also both be excellent suggestions for that crowd, and very different places.

There is an upstairs room at Commander’s Palace next to the stairs that would be perfect for this.

Rebirth is an excellent choice but I wouldn’t think they could do a group that big. The food is excellent. We did do a big group of 10 at the “sister” restaurant of Rebirth one block up called Galliano. Different menu but still solid.
