The government took a real concern and used to create more red tape and another regulation (tax) on the American business owner and I fail to see how this fixes the original “problem”.

The sad part is that the information they're collecting is basically useless and doesn't require documentation. This has been in the works since at least March of 2023 and they still don't have it together.
Financial Institutions are required to note beneficial ownership for loans, deposits, etc., and the portal they created doesn't show any proof of anything.
