I loathe his replacement of Ryan Secrest.
Could not have appointed more of a poosay to take Pats place.
John Michael Higgins should have been his replacement.

Pat Sajak is sharing his thoughts about retiring from “Wheel of Fortune” before his final episode as host airs this week.
ABC News reports that Sajak, 77, reflected on his 41 seasons and more than 8,000 episodes as the man behind the longtime game show in a recent interview with his daughter Maggie Sajak.
Pat Sajak reportedly said he was at peace with the conclusion of his run on the show and that he is enjoying the final week.
Last year, he announced that the show’s 41st season would be his last.
“This was announced a long time ago, almost a year ago. So, I’ve had time to sort of get used to it,” ABC quoted Pat Sajak as saying in the interview. “It’s been a little bit wistful and all that, but I’m enjoying it and taking it all in and reflecting on the great run.”
Pat Sajak has hosted “Wheel of Fortune” for more than four decades alongside his famed TV partner Vanna White, who joined the show in 1982.
“Wheel of Fortune” has become one of the most successful game shows in history, according to The Associated Press.
Ryan Seacrest is expected to take over as host while Pat Sajak will serve as a consultant on the show for three years after his retirement.
Pat Sajak said he was grateful for the success of the show while being able to connect with fans over the years.
The 77-year-old also said that he could probably continue his role as host but there are other things he would like to focus on.
“I’d rather leave a couple years too early than a couple of years too late,” Pat Sajak shared. “It’s been a great 40 years, and I’m looking forward to whatever’s ahead.”
Pat Sajak’s final episode hosting “Wheel of Fortune” will air on Friday as season 41 wraps up.
John Michael Higgins should have been his replacement.

JMH was the right choice. A good majority of WoF fans/watchers are middle age or older. Ryan Secrest is not the answer. You are about to see WoF go WOKE. LGTBQ+XYZ are about to start making appearances with trans people also. Probably why Pat got out.

Is Vanna leaving too?
Not yet. Probably will stay another 2-3 years.

Pat will be on as an advisor for a couple of years.

I get what you're saying, but Ryan Secrest is middle aged.

He is. But he just doesn't have the personality that goes well with people his age. He's too sissyfied.

Ryan’s a personable guy. I grew up watching him on American Idol and he always seemed funny off the cuff. Definitely game show host material. Am I crazy or can someone explain why y’all don’t seem to like him here? Way better than the jeopardy replacement fiasco before they settled on Ken.

He's got too much sugar in the tank. Maybe that will change with his gameshow presence. For some reason Merv Griffin liked Secrest. We shall see. Possible Ryan was giving Merv a knob shiner during that time.

Ken
Jeopardy did not try to look for any anyone better than Ken or the guest hosts they had after Alex Trebek passing. There is still better talent out there other than Ken.

Fun fact: In the late eighties Sajak took a hiatus to host his short lived talk show. Chargers placekicker Rolf Benirschke replaced him.

I thought the same thing with Drew Carey taking over for Bob Barker....he ended up working very well in the long run.

Drew is not a bad guy. How the hell he was able to make it into the Marines still has me confused. He had to be a cook or a paper pusher. No way in hell you put him on the front line

Rumor has it that every Marine is a rifleman.
I guess it's a question of how imminent a retrograde movement is.
