Of course the article doesnt mention the hordes of unvaccinated illegals crossing border as part of the reason

But cases of whooping cranes remain steady.

3 times 1,700 is still a laughably small amount of cases...
Nice fear mongering but I'll take my chances of being one of the 5,000 out of almost 400 million Americans that get it.

Whooping cough was essentially eradicated from the US in the 80s-90s. Less than 1 case per 100000 people per year
Its now about 15 per 100000
What changed?

Get your vaccines!!
You say this in jest without understanding that a lack of a certain segment of the current population being vaccinated is the issue.

And whatever else they are bringing over.

whooping cough cases are on the rise globally but that the number of cases in 2024 is similar to those before the COVID-19 pandemic.
What they left out: the acellular pertussis vaccine is garbage and doesn't stop transmission of whooping cough and the virus still readily circulates.

Are they the only ones getting sick?

If we vaccinated are also getting sick, we got a bigger problem.

That’s it! Shut it down! Homeschool everyone! Mail in your votes for the presidential election!

But do you really?

My kid's pediatrician has also been pumping vaccines hard quoting the increases in diseases like polio, whooping cough, mumps. She of course blames the anti-vaxxers but fails to even think about the surge of unvaccinated illegals.
Once a disease has been eradicated in a population it takes an external source to reintroduce, no?

People quit getting vaccinated. Also people moved here that weren't vaccinated.
If it actually got very bad people would just start getting vaccinated again.

thankfully I haven't seen any reports that folks from the third world cities of Ville Platte or Mamou have shot any this year.

Doctors have advised to look for symptoms that include a cough followed by “derr it is”.

Probably caused by the Covid vaccine.
