I feel like we haven’t talked about that enough. Guy was probably our 4th best pitcher heading into the post season.

I don't think it really did. UNC only scored 2 runs up until the 9th and you brought in your Ace to get it done.

Maybe having Little saves them from having to burn Herring in the elimination game against Wofford. Maybe.

Needed to score a bit more.

I feel like LSU really needed one more elite bat to pair with White. Jones stepped up huge and so did the Freshmen towards the end,, but we really could have used one more proven elite bat.

you wouldn’t prefer Little of Dutton and Coleman?

and don’t get me wrong I like Jump but maybe Little with less than 100 pitches in the last 3 days is a better option if available.

I get whatcha mean but at the same time we only allowed 2 runs in 25 outs.

Somehow pitching didnt end up being the issue. We needed to get an insurance run or 2 the whole game

It felt like when we are behind we put way more emphasis on each at bat and when we are winning we just swing at everything

True, but maybe we start Little instead of Dutton. But even if we did, when Little got pulled CJJ might have gone to Dutton. There was no reason to think Helmers was a better choice.

This.

The only big "what if" with Little is the elimination game against Wofford. Maybe he comes in and holds the rope or comes in relief of Herring earlier so that Herring would be available today.

Even that is stretching it though.

Also, just to be fair, UNC had far worse injury issues than LSU this year.

We put ourselves in a great position to win without him.

I thought pitching was pretty damn good vs NC in 3 games

The 1st game we literally did not score a run with a hit. We only scored because they walked us in, that's crazy.

2nd Game, bats came alive vs the back of their pen

3rd game their best arms shut LSU down. It's happened all year. Tommy, Trav, Braswell, Pearson, shite all of em could not get a hit.

This to me, was not an LSU pitching issue but moreso the offense choking when they needed some swings, but that's literally been the issue all year, I knew it months ago, you knew it months ago, we all knew it. That's why we were fighting just to get into the SEC tournament

This team needed its best player to slug in this regional to move on to Supers. He didn’t.
