Only those 3 wound up pitching
Just couldn’t get it done
Also, shows how important we obviously knew that 1st UNC game was. Was the obvious difference in them having 1 less game to have those 2 relievers available

This showed exactly why getting to 2-0 was such a big deal. Having to burn Herring to stay in the elimination game against Wofford was a huge deal.

Yep. Herring out versus those 2 in. We fought but that was the difference

We gave up only 3 runs in 9 innings
Our pitching had nothing to do with it. Our hitting sucked and disappeared just like it has throughout the season at times

Right, their pitching has everyting to do with it. And them going 2-0 allowed for them to have their dudes rested for a game 7. That's the point.

Did you read the post? It was about their pitching

We walked the bases juiced and gave up 2 in the first. A non roster travel player in Omaha last year was mowing down a great offensive lineup, we got big K after big K to avoid the kill shot.
And the future 1st rounder got spooked running blind into a wall he’s played only 4 games in front of. Same player doesn’t homer we weren’t even tied.
If I’m a UNC fan I’m concerned. They will make Omaha. But their are 4-5 teams we played this year that could beat or sweep them 2 out of 3 good on
It shouldn’t have been close. That was almost the kind of stuff you watch in a documentary 40 years from now if they continued on to Omaha given the run they went on the last 6 weeks

Did you see what I responded to
“We had to burn Herring”
Didn’t matter. Our pitching held up

I'm sure he read the post, but he was responding to your post about Herring.
You brought up the importance of starting 2-0, so you could have Herring, but he is saying at the end of the day we needed to score more.
I agree it's very important to start 2-0 in a regional. I am still disappointed LSU couldn't push across one more run in the last several innings.

Anyone else knew Tommy would chase something out the zone in the 9th? Stevie Wonder saw that coming.

you were playing a top team in the nation.
they have good players also.
you expect all the hits you want each game? ridicuous
you have to win these cloe games were hits and runs are at a premium.
one mistake costs a game like this and the kid in RF shite the fricking bed.

Hell I would still argue that point. If Herring was fully available, then Dutton didn’t see the field. Yeah that mattered too
