Was busy with life to watch the whole game and everyone is ranting about the drop.

I need to judge for myself.

Judge what?

He got anxious about the wall and dropped it.

That kid is going to end up being great. The story of his career isn't going to be that play.

Just how easy/hard the play was.

Go back to your "busy" life. Nobody is helping you out with this

Easy enough that he should have caught it, but you can't blame an entire game on one play. Brown didn't lose the game last night. If he catches that ball, we get another inning and that's it. There is no guarantee that we win in the 11th or after.

Calling yourself a "bottom" on here is quite progressive. Good for you!

That’s a stretch. He hasn’t shown he’s going to be great. Maybe shown he can be decent

Looked to me like he might have lost it in the lights. he was in position to make the play. Has he made any statement about that. It has happened before.

I'd say he lost it in the lights.

I also wonder if him bracing for the wall also disrupted his concentration.

The longer that game extended, the more likely LSU would lose. Not building on the lead after tbe 3rd is what lost the game … not an error in the field.

Looked like a combination of not being comfortable in RF, being distracted by the fence, and losing it in the lights.

With that being said it's probably a 8 out of 10 times catch

He has a touch of the Tourette’s and blinks a lot. Poor kid unfortunately blinked. The ball hit him in the head

I'd say far more routine than not. Tough ball but easily catchable

Also was most likely getting heckled bad by Carolina dudes behind him.

Man it couldn’t have happened at a worse time.

Not making excuses, but that right field open area fence can get loud from the students and fans just on the other side of it. It’s also wavy and irregularly shaped from CF to the RF line. Yes, he should have caught it, but I think those two factors, and possibly lighting, played a big factor in the unfortunate error. I still have our LSU players’ backs, and this was a learning experience for the younger Tigers.
