Looking for Cobia....lemon fish Covington area

Been away from the Northshore over a decade but here are some options (none in Covington but not too far away):
1) Check the Mandeville Seafood Market on LA59.
2) Kenneys in Slidell
3) Harbor Seafood in Kenner (will be a drive across the lake).

Langensteins in old metairie almost always has it for a good price.

Rouses will get it for you, just ask at the seafood counter.

Bear in mind that (according to someone plugged into the wholesale market) almost all the Cobia and Tripletail we see around here is imported from Central and South America. In case that matters to you. I’ve bought both locally in BR if I saw a really fresh piece, because those might be my two favorite saltwater fish.

Most cobia you get in stores and restaurants are farmed in Panama

I have some in my freezer I could give you if interested it was caught in early September.
