Just received IRS notice CP05

Stated that “we’re holding your return until we finish reviewing your tax return”
Does this mean I’m getting audited? Nowhere on the letter does it state the word audit. I’m a poor. I only made $25k last year. Although I did spend 8 months on LOA after a broken leg. Maybe that made things a bit wonky.

Serious inquiries from the IRS are sent via certified mail that you have to sign for. Did you have to sign for that?

IRS doesnt hire the best and brightest. You probably got assigned to worker that thinks all taxpayers are trying to cheat the system. Similar to the way cops assume citizens are all criminals

I got one as well. Then about 4-5 weeks later, got my refund.
