I know people think the Pels wouldn't want him because of what Willie did with JV, but Edey seems like he could fit into a similar role as JV but he'd be cheaper and not expecting to start.

Your hyperbole and sarcasm is not necessary. He’s more Olajuwon with a better stroke

He's a great backup center to have on the floor when Zion is not in the game, because he can collapse the defense and open up shooters on the perimeter.

Assuming we stay at 21 and he’s still on the board, is there really gonna be anyone else with more talent and upside than him at that pick? Seems like a value pick to me, no?

I am hopeful that one of Messi, Carter, Bub Carrington, or DaRon Holmes is still on the board, but you are correct. There is a good chance that Edey is legitimately the best player available after 20 picks.

I think Edey is going to be a solid nba contributor for years which is a good value at 21. I just I like those players ceilings better than Edey’s. I am hoping for a few reaches because it feels like this draft has a drop off after the first 16-18 picks.

Exactly. What’s wrong with a big center coming off the bench in certain situations. I liked having JV especially when Zion is hurt as someone we can rely on for scoring. And this guys a bigger version on a small contract. Sign me up.

Probably because we don't have a starting center right now and there doesn't seem be a realistic one to acquire on the market. Hard to imagine drafting a backup when a starter isn't in place.

Gayle might think she can make some money from Chinese fans if we get him.

Think about what you just said. So it make perfect sense to pass on the biggest, most nba ready center that’s already 22 because we don’t have a center on the roster….

Sure if you think he's a starting caliber center. If not, then you're just come off desperate.

After watching Zeller, I’d take a gamble on Edey being our third center. So if we don’t have squat at center, you’d prefer to take a wing instead of our weakest position to help solve the problem?

I'm not opposed to Edey. I'm opposed to the idea of drafting a center with the vision of him being a back up at best while we have no starting caliber guy up front. If they draft him with the vision of being a starter, I'm good with it. Otherwise go with the upside pick or trade the pick for an actual center that can play big minutes.

What? He was the best player in college. You hope he can be a starter eventually. At worse you just hope he’s productive player. You think Denver drafted the joker in the 2nd with plans on him being a starter? If we don’t bring in a front line starter, you gonna need a committee approach with different skill sets for matchups. Dude is 7’4 and 300 pounds. He fills a need even if he’s not a starter.

You make no sense.
