I see Live Oak also has a young QB who is getting good publicity.

Who else is a heralded 2028 player?

Cayden Lancelin from New Iberia is one.

Some of his basketball highlights are crazy for a 14yo

He’s a great kid as well. Very quiet and respectful. But he turns it on once he’s between the lines.

Calvin is built like Brian Thomas...tall tangy and can go up and get the ball.
He is a really pleasant and good kid. he looks more like a basketball player than football if you see him in person. Calvin is a 28

The QB is Kingston Johnson. For Live Oak he is the generational talent. Freak athlete, extremely hard working, great family. Everyone that saw him as a young kid knew he was the one who would have a chance to make it. Also a tremendous baseball player if he chose to do that. He is a 27.

The RB Jones is also really athletic. I do not know him but he started last year as a true freshman and also started as a freshman in the outfield for LO Baseball team. Very fast and put together. Canes National team in baseball. Elite explosive athlete.

Also have Weller who is committed to Tulane as a freshman in baseball and Billings who can play LB or Catcher in college. Both are also 27s

The LO Rec football team destroyed everyone all the way up with this crew. They probably lost 2-3 games total from the time peewee league starts until they entered middle school and destroyed everyone for those two years also. Not sure why they do not win typically in high school except that all the LO kids are in one middle school funnel into high school and the other schools in this area have multiple middle schools which funnel into one high school and then they end up with more talent????

LO issues are in the trenches. Usually have good skill players but not enough horses up front.

They haven't had anything like Ursin though.

We're talking 4-5 stars

I haven't seen him play. Sounds like a Keon Coleman type in general.

Look at that kid. Damn.

Smart of Florida st to get in early.

I don't care what anyone says. Norvell is a great coach.

Live also has 2026 TE Hayden Ray has led the team in touchdowns last two years. Has great speed and size! Frank Thomas was there last week and brought him an invite to Elite camp and all the coaches at LSU have been talking to him.
He has been to Florida St. also. Real good kid!

Hopefully Live Oak can hold onto all these guys.

I'm sure there are some select schools that would love to get transfers.

I think both are safe. Hayden's family is LO through and through. Calvin's brother also played at LO recently.

I don't follow recruiting but that kid is huge for his age. Seems like he's going to be a big time recruit

If things continue like they are, the Ursin kid is a lock for an eventual LSU offer.
