No, but I would reverse sear it in the oven like a standing rib roast.

I've only done it once. Should do more often. Nice for a holiday meal which this was.
Reverse seared with salt and pepper - smoked low on BGE till internal temp I wanted and then seared. It was a Prime cut.
Turned out great - found some pics...

Lots of times. Works great. It also benefits from Sous vide
