Decided to throw a little something together for dinner.
First, a stick of butter and two tablespoons of coconut oil.
While it browns, heavily season two pounds of shrimp with paul prudhomes blackened seasoning, black pepper, chopped parsely, adobo seasoning, and some roussels.
When the butter is brown toss in a half cup of flour and stir uickly. The roux will be done in under two minutes.
Add the trinity.
Add two diced jalepenos. Allow to stick and scrape repeatedly for 20 minutes. Further browning the flour.
One can of tomatoes.
Two cups fresh tomatoes.
Two cups chicken stock and one can of tomato paste.
Cook down and then blend.
1.5 tablespoons of chicken base
A secret ingredient our black posters will know
A tablespoon of achote and three tablespoons of paprika.
Add the shrimp.
30 minutes on very low heat.
And yes, I realize I used hardly any individual seasoning.
Nothing uppity about this one

I like Camp Shrimp as a name. Alternatively, Shrimp Adobada Stew.

Personally I'm just chuckling at the nine down votes from the people who probably have trouble with anything more than a steamed carrot
