Little man turned two, and his favorite dish is “bumbo,” so of course I had to make him one on his birthday.

Lunch was grilled beef dogs, regular dogs, and “burrito” sausage.

Dinner will be smoked ribs, smoked pork shoulder, potato salad made from crawfish boil potatoes, and bacon/cheddar/ranch broccoli salad.

Kebabs using pork tenderloin marinated overnight.

Onion, yellow and zucchini squash, mushrooms, yellow/red/orange bell peppers on the skewers and on the grill till done after hitting them with a brushing of olive oil and some seasoning.

Fresh peach cobbler for dessert.

Brisket is resting for another hour or so. I’ll post pics when I slice it.

I marinated some chicken thighs last night 3 ways. Allegro Hot, Hickory Smoke and some plain dry rub. Grilled. All 3 really good. The hot was my favorite. I did pigs in a blanket for an appetizer. Other family brought sides.

Had beef plate ribs and 2 boneless turkey breast.

Ribs were a year old from my freezer, came out ok, but were taking forever compared to fresh so I pulled them early.

Turkey breasts came out fantastic. 1 SPG w/ a little cajun season and the other was Italian herb holiday style. Gonna have some leftover Turkey sandwiches tommorow.

Dayum! Solid. But tell the truth: who handled the smoking?

Me. It’s just a propane smoker. Nothing more to it than refilling wood/water and regulating temp as needed.
