Their leadership is far left. They have a large and, possibly, growing minority that are sick of the “immigrants” and other crap like this. Of course they are labeled as racists, but I don’t think they give a shite.

I'm a very proud Irish American. I'm not quite so proud of the Irish part any more. My ancestors who came to Appalachia to work the rails and the mines, were a far different breed than the average modern, woke Irish. Hell, the out-of-control organized crime syndicates over there are more nationalist than their government.

Ireland has been sympathetic to Palestine for a while. They have always seen themselves as analogous to the Palestinians and the Israelis as being analogous to the British. Only surprising thing is they didn't do this a while ago.
