That's an understatement.
If you can move the batteries to the leaning post, it would make life a lot easier when you're re-rigging the electrical in the console.

I am in same boat so to say. How do you go about replacing the diamond deck stuff when it has soft spots?? Just glass and gelcoat and then no more diamond pattern and cover with a foam flooring? I have lots of stress fractures in my deck on the corners and in the back and I want to sand them down and fix, same with Cuddy cabin only I want to cut out the whole deck and replace the foam… but damn the diamon plate is only thing I’m worried about… ain’t no way I can respray gel coat on the diamond deck and grind the pattern back in??!
Should I just sand down all the diamond plate smooth lay some new glass, gelcoat and just call it good ? And roll on a non stick or some kind of deck coat?

also, shearwater's vendor was surprisingly very helpful when I needed new plates for the console. just fwiw.
this is the guy i went through a couple years ago.

It would fluctuate for every boat depending on what you want/need to do. You could add raw replacement material and guesstimate amount of glass work and labor hours. I’d then add 35% on top of that for items you don’t initially take into account and some fall short buffer

Preciate it, but I have a CNC and cut all my panels myself. Can even get fancy with reverse engraving/backlighting too now lol.

The reason I ask is because I'm in the market for a used bay boat and sure wish I had the time, know how, and tools to do something like this. I followed the other on CP did and it looks like he does incredible work,

I’m normally pretty cheap (compared to a marine shop) on labor since it’s all people I know and I just do it on the side. Would probably be a lot more expensive if an actual marine shop was doing the work. Not that they rip people off or anything, just no real overhead for me and it’s more of a hobby/something I enjoy. So I couldn’t really give you a fair estimate on that cost.
But cost (minus labor) can swing drastically depending on what size boat and what all needs to be done/how much you want to upgrade on electronics.
Have done boats that only needed $2k parts/materials. But have also done some that put in up to $30k.
Labor is going to be highly dependent on what all needs to be done.

Absolutely get it. Would love to have mine redone as well. Merely pointing out that there are a multitude of various repairs/replacement items when “rebuilding” a boat which will cause the end expense to vary wildly. Repowering? One, two, three, four outboards? New electronics? New stringers and tank?
