I know I know, easy guys to dislike. But every now & then squirrels find nuts.
But both think election will be allowed to go to Trump, as trying to steal this one isn’t worth the potential fallout. Slow & steady wins the race. They can hamstring Trump enough now and focus on the future elections.
Benny and Tim also both think VP will be Rubio, he’s been working the Bush donors and they have called off the dogs. Speaks fluent Spanish, will appeal to Hispanics. On Intelligence committee which comforts the DS.
This also allows DeSantis to hand pick Rubio successor & run for seat himself next cycle after he terms out for governor. He’s out campaigning for Trump now as well.

I have been getting that vibe the past few weeks. It feels like Trump and the deep state are coming to some soft agreements with his backchannel support of the Ukraine money, support of the new FBI building, and some hints about Pompeo being back in the mix. The intel agencies can always undermine him if he gets too far off the reservation.
I picked liddle Marco in the VP thread.

Yep. The question is does Trump try to be same Trump he was in 2016 and get stabbed in the back at every step or does he go Dark Trump once he’s in and start stabbing back?

A Rubio VP nom only works if Trump is running from another state.
NYC may have fixed this issue by requiring Trump to have been in the state for X days this year, as being there a certain amount of time treats you as a resident for tax purposes.

I’ve come to think this is probably the case as well. Also there are many very disturbing financial/market trends floating out there and I think it’s quite likely a serious recession hits over the next few years, and they would prefer to burn Trump at the stake for that rather than sacrifice one of their own and be in much worse shape (optics wise) in 4 years.
Another factor is Ukraine is going to lose and it’s coming soon. The most recent funding was just a bandaid to get through this election and save face.
Whether Trump can influence things to come out of these factors positively, or prevent them (at least the financial one) altogether, remains to be seen.

I agree with this to some extent. I saw a blurb last month about Larry Fink telling a WEF crowd that they should plan on a Trump win and plan accordingly.
So it appears that is their plan, dig in and try to sideline Trump... Riots, bird flu or whatever..
Whether there is an agreement of some sort remains to be seen. Waiting to see who the AG and VP picks actually are. I am actively ignoring all prognostications on VP and consider them all BS. We won't know till Trump announces it himself.
Also.. Rubio being able to speak Spanish is simultaneously the only reason and the most asinine reason to pick him as VP... unless a bone is being thrown to the deep state.

Curious how the Florida electors are going to award their vote to Trump / Rubio since
