Is there anyone locally in south Louisiana that sells live edge exotic wood? Not looking for cypress.

Acadian Cypress in Ponchatoula usually has exotics other than cypress. Check with them. I also saw some live edge boards at lowes the other day. Just pine and Fir though.

FB Marketplace sometimes has people selling stuff. I have a stack of black walnut I bought from a guy north of Alexandria that slabs local trees. I got some red gum, sycamore and black walnut a few years back.
That's not south LA though.

There’s a guy in Thibodaux that brings in wood from a mill up in north Louisiana. He had some walnut, gum, etc. he’s on that Facebook. I’ll try to find a link.

Years ago they had a wood mill off bayou Grosse Tete. Each office they had the rooms done in different woods. The Willow was one of the better looks.

There was a small place on Lyons St. right across the street from Grits Bar that had live edge boards in several different species.
Not sure if the business is still there or not since I've not been up that way in a while but the prices were reasonable for what they had at the time.
It is just a bit of a hole in the wall place located between Tchoupitoulas and Annunciation on Lyons and about the 2nd building off Annunciation if heading toward Tchoupitoulas on the left.

Bring the papers to trade the birth rite of your first born.
That place has always had a great variety of hardwoods and most all of it being top grade, but they are $$$$ to get out the door.
