I remember reading about her case.
Do inmates have computer access in prison?

I think the women falling for the dudes in prison are even worse.
with dudes, there is always the sad / pathetic aspect of them just being really horny and hopeless and thinking that MAYBE there is a chance if the girl is in prison and she will be super grateful, etc. it's sad and super beta, but at least there's some logic to it.
women going after inmates is a different level. they have to be looking for something that they missed from their dads or some other kind of weird hang-up from their childhood. i dont know, really weird.

She’s 37, not 36. They could add that to her sentence for falsifying information while incarcerated.

I knew the guy she killed from a past job. He was an alright guy. He did a little bit of amatuer MMA fighting on the side. The whole ordeal was messed up. Them poor kids had to watch their dad get shot. Yall might wanna skip the conjugal visits.

Probably not the best way to secure full custody.

I think 3/4 guys on the OT should set up an email account and engage this woman ( or someone even more murdery) and report back. I’d love to wake up to daily updates of the felonious moisties inside the prison and The OT Baws who love them.

Yes, depends on the prison, but they can't go "surf the web". It's restricted to a handful of websites(mainly educational). I'm sure they can check their email.

That poor child had to witness her father get shot then mother arrested for life. That kid has no chance in this world.

Im not surprised. My wife was still working in good old Alex at the time. I had been gone from there for several years when that happened.

From her appeal:
She researched "self-defense" on the internet. She bought self-defense insurance.
The Court of Appeal affirmed her sentence.
quote:
Defendant and Thomas Coutee were married in 2014. They had one child. Their marriage, however, would not be characterized as harmonious. In 2018, Defendant and Thomas separated. This separation was not amicable, to say the least. Thomas reported Defendant to law enforcement authorities that Defendant slapped him during a custody exchange. Defendant complained to her friend, Jennifer Dennis, that Thomas slammed a car door on her leg during an exchange. In retaliation, Defendant slapped Thomas. At an August 2018 custody hearing, Defendant indicated that Thomas had jumped at her during an earlier incident. Mrs. Dennis related that in early 2018, Defendant told her she wanted to kill Thomas and asked if she could borrow a gun. Mrs. Dennis refused to loan Defendant one of her guns. Later, Defendant sent Mrs. Dennis a picture of a black handgun she had purchased. Defendant also asked Mrs. Dennis if she knew anything about self-defense insurance. In August 2018, Defendant sent a message indicating that she had deleted all her social media accounts and that she might "make the news."... State v. Coutee, 22-665 (La. App. Oct 25, 2023)
