That’s how most on here like to watch games these days. All about the home run and don’t give a shite about any fundamentals.
Can’t scratch out the fricking run when you need to.

Like the top of the 9th for instance… lead off man gets on… back in the day that was an automatic sacrifice bunt for almost every team in the game to try to get the runner on 2nd… LSU flies out to left, pop up, strikeout, game over.

Losing to Southern University and it killed your RPI to the point that there is no recovery.

That loss has zero fricking outcome in this season.

Losing games against Florida, Vandy, Arkansas, and the Friday night game fricked them.

Not a sorry arse midweek game.

Well, the obvious is true about those other losses. And like I stated in the beginning Hurd’s Zero SEC wins.

Hurd was literally given the Friday night starter job.

I don’t know why everyone claims he’s the biggest disappointment. He was all over the place last year. He was good against Texas early then disappeared. He was erratic and never consistent throughout the rest of the season. Yes, he had a wonderful game in the game that mattered most, but he never demonstrated the ability to be a consistent, disciplined, dominant starting pitcher. Ever.

I agree with this. However, this team sucks at bunting big time.

From all accounts, he had a good fall And Winter.
I don’t think he was “given“ the job.
Jump wasn’t ready as we all know.
What to expect him not to give any innings this year is what disappoints the most. He was unreliable, across-the-board.
