Weren't all the pics given to FOX 8 of Cantrell out in a public place and seemingly shot from like across the street?
Cantrell is a public figure and those pics appear to be taken from a location the general public has access to (a street or sidewalk)... and it's not like they're being taken through 1 of her windows
Don't like it? Don't become a public figure then
Also... don't cheat on your (dying?) husband with your security detail
Request denied

Your city is generally in trouble when your Mayor has to file a protective order against someone.

I long for the days when tourism was strong and, people wanted to come to New Orleans. The CBD actually had a thriving business community, people lived in various parts of town with distinct cultures, not a ‘culcha,’ and crime was under control to some degree.
Now, it’s a monolithic malaise of homelessness, trash, crack, disrepair, crime and despair.
Teedy obviously isn’t helping; Benson’s widow, with the whole ‘Dixie to Faubourg’ crap is stupid; who can actually help? Anyone on the horizon or is it just simmer until it blows or rots into something good?

The photos were taken standing in Jackson square, and of her on a balcony at a restaurant feet from the most photographed building in the city (st Louis cathedral)

Protective orders were supposed to be available to people (mostly women) who were suffering from physical or sexual abuse. You lose gun rights if you have a PO against you. You can suffer both a contempt finding and a criminal case if you violate them.
Unfortunately, trash now uses them to referee disputes that clearly do not merit the use of protective orders. In this case, the Judge should have immediately recognized that you can take a picture of a public figure under the circumstances described. The temp order should not have been granted. Women use them to try to get child custody resolved. You see a lot of them filed over some facebook dispute that is going back and forth.
PO's can be filed without paying court costs (and without lawyers). Thus, they have become a free weapon for the trash to use. These frivolous protective order applications invariably make the legitimate ones seem less important.
As an aside, even legitimate protective orders should have a provision where the victim cannot contact the defendant while the protective order is in place. Local guy here gets a call from the beauty salon where his wife works. He returns the call, gets hung up on, and gets arrested for violating a p.o.

I hate Cantrell
She uses “ safety” for every excuse when she gets caught being the hogish arrogant woman that she is
Drinking with an on duty police officer is against the law.

No doubt will continue with the corruption in Nola.
The people of Nola want nothing more than what they have. They keep voting for the same shite over and over.

How can she not be embarrassed for filing this? It's a joke.

Be more sensitive! They're in greater risk of being harmed.

She’s a public figure. No way this gets beyond the 10-day mark.
And she was eating lunch in public on a restraint balcony.
Also, does she actually meet the definition of a protected person?
