I’m out. You clearly are an idiot who doesn’t know baseball.

Hence why there are TWO lines.

The runners lane is to the right of the foul line. For 80% of his run to 1st, he was to the left of the foul line. By rule, it’s interference. It was bad baseball by LSU, but it was also interference.

Looks inside the baseline from that angle, a little more than "being a right handed batter"

I’d blame it more on the shitty throw than the base runner….Milazzo had plenty time to make even a “decent” throw..

Exactly.
Has everyone forgot the lesson we got in the tournament last year? One millimeter to the left is interference.
That said, we blew that game. No one to blame but ourself. But it was 100% by the rule interference.

Look at the angle. The runner is barely barely left of the line and no where in the vicinity of the throwing angle of Milazzo
Y’all really need to learn the rules
Look at Milazzo. The runner is in no universe in his throwing lane

In running the last half of the distance from home base to first base, while the ball is being fielded to first base, he runs outside (to the right of) the three-foot line, or inside (to the left of) the foul line, and in the umpire's judgment in so doing interferes with the fielder taking the throw at first base

He was way more than that.
Those still shots are AFTER he drifted back.
No matter, the Tigers choked it away and didn’t deserve to be bailed out (even though that would have been the correct call).

Milazzo had a massive throwing lane. He pushed the ball to the right of the bag
The runner didn’t interfere with anything

Lmfao I can't with you man. You already proved you have no clue about football and now this.
Just pathetic

Irrelevant to the rule as it is supposed to be applied.
If we had won on the same play, I would say that the call went against the Gumps.
Again, it’s irrelevant, the Tigers didn’t deserve to win with such a shite performance.
Pitiful.

Look you didn’t know the rule and were emotional. It happens. Just let this thread sink to the bottom

quote:umm, no. The rule is literally written the runner has to interfere with the throw…. Simply being left of the lane is not interference

He’s right. Sucks to suck, but you’re reaching with this.

p. In running the last half of the distance from home plate to first base while the ball is being fielded to first base, the batter-runner runs outside the 3-foot restraining line or inside the foul line and, in so doing, interferes with the fielder taking the throw at first base, except that the batter may go outside these lines to avoid a fielder attempting to field a batted ball;
Note 1: If the batter-runner is running illegally to first base and his being outside the lane alters the throw of a fielder, hinders or alters a fielder’s opportunity to field the throw, or the batter-runner is hit by the throw that has been made in an attempt to make a play, it shall be called interference and the batter-runner is to be called out.
Exception—The batter-runner is permitted to exit the three-foot running lane by means of a step, stride, reach or slide in the immediate vicinity of first base and for the sole purpose of touching first or attempting to avoid a tag. He may exit the running lane on his last stride or step if he has been running legally within the running lane up to that point.
Note 2: The batter-runner is considered outside this 3-foot lane if either foot is outside either line.

Florida player called out:
Bama player called safe:
Seriously frick all you thinking people are stupid for saying that was interference. It was 110% most certainly interference. Really not even up for debate

So you are saying with 100% confidence that Milazzos throwing lane was not affected at all by the runner being left of the chalk?
