The #Braves have acquired a player to be named later or cash considerations from the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for INF Luis Guillorme.
It’s starting to feel financially flexible around here.

Rumor on Twitter/X is that Guillorme was not passing the clubhouse vibe check.

Well he played for the Mets

DUIs and a few boxing bouts against a crazy wife passes it?

Anything anyone says about Marcells presence in the clubhouse is always overwhelming positive. Off the field legal issues aside.

Yeah I don't think those things make you bad in a clubhouse. I just think clubhouse concerns are overstated, and thats a shining example. They have every reason not to like Ozuna, but everyone does anyway.

?
If a guy is good in the clubhouse, he's good in the clubhouse. Overstated would be if they had a bunch of guys known to dickheads in the clubhouse but still won anyway.

I think it’s pretty obvious that if someone who is a PoS can be beloved in a clubhouse, then concerns about will X player fit in the clubhouse” are overstated. These guys are being paid millions to play a game, they don’t give af if someone is awkward, a shitter, or a saint. It just doesn’t matter.
Guillorme was just not very good
Guillorme was just not very good

I think it matters, but who knows.

Haha you’ve clearly never played competitive sports.
He was traded because he’s not going to see the field.

It definitely matters to have a great clubhouse vibe.

So “because he’s just not good” like I said?

Yeah your travel ball team where you were probably the 8th best player really compares to the major leagues your shitty high school team isn’t the military either, you weren’t in the trenches playing some AA school with a pitcher who threw 65mph fastballs
It’s an absolutely laughable argument to compare anything outside of MLB to MLB. Those guys are employees, not brothers or comrades

Beating up your wife has nothing to do with bringing in the vibes on a baseball team.
Reality is, most pro athletes are pieces of shite, so shite that happens outside of the stadium doesn't really affect anything unless it seeps into the clubhouse.
Chipper Jones by all accounts was a redneck womanizer and Greg Maddux was/is a fricking weird individual who was slightly on the spectrum. But that had nothing to do with the vibes (unless Maddux was wiping his arse with a teammates' shirt and putting it back in the locker).
You're conflating two different things to make a point.

If you look like two comments down that’s exactly my point lol. This shite doesn’t matter. They are professionals paid millions of dollars, not riding a bus to some obscure single a team together or playing travel ball 9 days per week because “i’m definitely going pro”

Per DOB, the Braves think Short is a much better defensive shortstop than Guillorme and view him as a pinch runner option. They see Fletcher as more of a utility guy and didn't think they had anyone who could handle short if something happened to Arcia.

But Ozuna is a good clubhouse guy, regardless of what he did to his wife. Is it the end all be all for a successful team? Nah, but there is merit to having dudes like that, especially dudes that speak both english and spanish.

Seeing that guy in short when arcia got injured was too funny.
