Take your time on any excursions. They'll threaten to leave you there, but they're just joshin'.

No need for suntan lotion. You want to be as burnt as all the other rednecks.

I went to Belize City on a Norwegian cruise.
We toured the Altun Ha Mayan ruins which was interesting.

A nice bar is the French Quarter style patio bar in the Great House Hotel right near the cruise ship dock.

From Mahogany Bay on Roatan Island, we spent the day snorkeling on Tabyana Beach on Weat Bay.

Starfish island in Belize was a decent excursion. It’s a private island beach. You can pick up starfish and play with them. Food was cooked by the locals. coconut rice and chicken curry or something. It was good. Drinks were served in a coconut. Not too expensive maybe 100/person if I remember right. Very relaxing day.

Cant remember the name of the excursion we took in roatan but it was nice too. Took a bus ride through the island. Lot of dirt roads, vendors, banana trees, chickens running around. the beach was at a resort and the water Crystal clear. Wish I could remember the e name of the resort. It was either Camp bay beach or beach club roatan.

One the fam all remembers well was in Belize: Zip line across the mountaintops ending down into a cave, canoeing a river that goes underground, then burritos in a native camp (where I discovered Marie Sharp's hot sauce). A great day.

Find a tour (not through Carnival) that will take you out to Cay Kaulker and you can swim with the rays and nurse sharks then feed you a good local lunch after.

Spend a couple of hours in the Casino. They comped us $500 on-board credit for our upcoming cruise to Nassau

*This review is compared to my experience with Royal Caribbean out of Galveston*

7day on Carnival Liberty out of N.O.

Family cruise for the first time. Included my parents (my dads first cruise) and numerous aunts, uncles, niece and cousins.

Parking was a gaggle but not as bad as it could have been. Baggage handlers were prompt and very helpful.

Staff/security while getting on and off this ship were very shitty people PERIOD

Carnival staff onboard were ALL extremely cordial and made for a great experience.

Food was subpar but Guy's Burger Joint was the tits. Food was always fresh and hot with a wide selection of toppings and condiments for the fries.

Formal meals werent to bad but small portions that were equal to RC IMO

The shows didnt even come close to RC quality but werent too bad.

More riffraff on this cruise and alot were from Alabama as confirmed by the row dam tie walmart tshirts that were on display.

Over all the stateroom was adequate but the a/c didnt quite keep up with the humidity levels in Honduras and Belize.

The casino slots paid out well and I noticed they paid more so after leaving each port where they disable the machines. Drinks were average.

Watched the LSU/SC game in the SkyBox lounge and I will say it was a nice place but the annoying LSU fans acting like pompus assholes thinking they owned the whole place and it just wasnt a nice experience. (I wish people would act like they have actually been somewhere in their lives and not act a fool anytime they get a chance. Wish in one hand and shite in the other and see which on is full.)

Debarking should be done using a local taxi instead of the shuttle buses as wait times for those were long and there were plenty of taxis for $10 to any parking lot. (Garages were all full.)

Over all I would rate this cruise a 7/10

IMO 7 days is a longtime on a cruise to 3 ports.
