I have the same problem right now. Put down a fungicide last weekend and it seems to have fertilized them...

How can I get rid of them? I do have a tree stump in the area that had been ground a couple years ago, so I'm sure the roots are nice and rotted at this point.

I don't really know. They'll go away when it dries up some. It may take a certain fungicide to get rid of them, I've never really looked into it.

why would you need to get rid of them? What you see is the fruiting body of the fungus. The actual organism is deep underground. It is decomposing the buried wood matter
