If Walmart allowed someone to set a folding table by the entrance/exit and give people miniature candy bars for answering a question, what percentage of people could actually rattle off all of the states that border West Virginia? Maybe 2 or 3 percent at the most?

define what you mean by forgettable.

The one that you'd be least likely to remember if someone asked you to name all of the different states.

Delaware. I'm not even sure it's real.

The most forgettable state? Vermont or New Hampshire would be my guess. There is something attractive about those areas. Not as likely to get shot pumping gas as in Louisiana.

Delaware, Rhode Island, and North Dakota

honestly im good with state names, but the placement of them on the map trips me up sometimes. I get Iowa and Nebraska backwards when looking at a map.

The answer is Delaware.

This gets repeated on this board a lot. It has some very nice beach towns.

Delaware, if you aren't a corporate headquarters type.
Rhode Island : if you aren't into megarich mansions and sailing.

Iowa would be up there if it wasn't for colleges.
It's just one big farm.

I was in Philly last year and an event I was going to didn’t start till late so I just drove to Delaware to see what’s up and it’s even more plain and dull than I could have even imagined.

Indiana and the area outside of Chicago in Illinois is highly forgettable, just pure nothing.
It would really depend on where you currently live in the country since each region would have their top choice for "forgettable state." People saying North and South Dakota most likely have never been there and don't know about the hunting and fishing opportunities in those states.
