Wife (no pics) and I are looking to get away form the kids for a long weekend and have decided on Turks and Caicos. Any recommendations on which resort to stay at?

Try to stay in the Grace Bay area. Our group rented a house further away when we went but we always drove to Grace Bay for beach time...
There's a Ritz ($$$) in that area, but also some other resorts and some all-inclusives.

Thanks for the info Chicken. i will definitly focus on the grace bay area. i saw the ritz but was wondering if anyone had any experiences. the Ritz is around the same price as the all inclusives, but i am wondering if the extra i spend on drinks and meals would be worth it. only staying a few days.

We rented a townhouse a block off the beach.
Gracebay Townhomes.
Much cheaper than a resort, unless you want that. Nearby Gracebay Resort looked nice in terms of rentals and had the must-see Infinity Bar!
The property manager we used also had:
Coconut Beach
Crystal Sands

We go to Turks every year or so. We always stay at the Tuscany.
I will say that it’s not the place t0 go if you’re looking to save money. It is very expensive, and let’s just say that inflation has hit food there too. I definitely noticed a big difference on our trip there this year as opposed to two years ago. That being said, we haven’t had a bad meal there.
We haven’t stayed at the Ritz, but we did eat at two of its restaurants this year. They were great, and the hotel looked beautiful.
I always recommend renting a car, at least for a few days.

I have friends who are at Villa Del Mar right now. They love it. I haven’t been there but I am getting pictures of the place and it looks great.

My wife and I are going in early June and will be staying for the second time at The Somerset. It isn’t large and active so if that’s what you want don’t stay there. It is very nice though and in a good location.

I highly recommend Somerset then. Also The Palms next door. Somerset let us use bikes if we wanted to ride to town or grocery store. They arranged for taxis if we went out to eat. We also walked down the beach to eat out a couple of nights. Our room was 1409 sq.ft. with two bathrooms, a kitchen with all Viking appliances, a living room, patio and large bedroom.

The Shore Club is awesome

As noted above, the Gracebay Resorts is right on the beach if desired, but they have a wide variety of accommodations.

Bring your wallet. Everything is super expensive. Like $70 for a case of 10 oz beer.
The ritz may be the ugliest building on the island.
We stayed at the palms. Very nice.

I took my family of five 2 years ago. We did a lot of research and decided on The Palms. We did not want an all inclusive, but wanted the amenities that a resort could offer. We loved The Palms. It is directly next to the Beaches resort, on one of the best stretches of Grace Bay. Our room and resort were nice enough to never have to leave, although we did have a couple of dinner reservations around the island. It is a sister property to the Shore Club, which is on the southern shore across the island. We visited the Shore Club via free resort shuttle, and it was nice but very quiet and almost somber feeling. The beach at the Palms is much nicer. Shore club beach is small, windier, and more seaweed due to the shallow nature of that side of the island. I highly recommend looking into The Palms.
Bonus, if you are a Costco member, we were able to book it thorough Costco travel and saved $$$. Look into those options. The beachside and poolside room we got through that deal was the best on the property.
