God help our United States from the Uniparty and its' puppets.
The right love the power of big government in order to punish their opponents.
Just like the left.
The only difference is the name and nature of the opponents that will get crushed.

it reminds me of another “occupation of space” that took place in January a few years ago…
But that was diffe(R)ent.
Let me know when the FBI starts tracking flight records and hotel rooms to find these leftist protesting on college campuses and putting in jail for years.
You don’t anything about law so it’s understandable how you’re so wrong on these issues but even someone like you should be able to recognize selective enforcement

So violently occupying is free speech now? Gotcha..
But free speech is free speech

The bill passed 320-91

Like the current administrations abuse of the FACE act?

If you can’t respond… just let it die. Don’t waste your time with fallacy.
You hate freedom, so you'd be the last dude I'm taking demands from.
I'll respond to you when I want, and say what I want. That's how freedom works. You're against freedom, so you're irrelevant.

I see the links to a Twitter account but not actual text from the bill.

No matter what side of the Israel Palestine coin you are on, 1st amendment trumps this easily. If that is in fact what the bill says. You don’t even need the SC to brain trust this one, your local 5th grader could solve that case.

Add arrogance to incompetence. The perfect storm.
I assume you were referring to the bill passed by the house. I think we all agree with you that it’s horrible. This thread is all over the place because you posted like an emotional woman rather than trying to start a legitimate discussion.

You folks set the precedent. Well actually you folks set it in 2020, reset it in 2021, and are now trying to reset it again in 2024.
Which one are we going to stick with?? Make up your mind and let’s stick with it.

Amazing how quickly your camp went from "Lets form a ministry of truth so we can battle disinformation from Russia about Biden, Vaccines and masks". to "Muh Free Speech"
Jesus Christ. Give me a break. The assholes on campus, many of whom are trespassing as they are non-students, are infringing on other students rights to move about freely and without intimidation. Holding a sign with a stupid idea on it is much different than throwing water bottles, beating up Jewish students (UCLA) and blocking others from getting to class. Those motherfrickers should have been nipped in the bud and the Presidents of these universities replaced immediately.

Yes THAT is a first amendment violation, not the cops on riot gear violently breaking it up.
My God. This is one of the more stupid statements made.
I support free speech.
Free speech is not being able to go protest wherever they want.
Free speech is not blocking traffic.
Free speech is not preventing students free safe passage to and from their classes.
Free speech is not harassing people.
Free speech is not breaking into building.
Free speech is not then locking those buildings.
Free speech is not disturbing the peace.
Free speech is not being able to do whatever the frick you want a long as you support a terrorist organization.
So yes, I support free speech. If you get permission to protest, you are allowed to protest non violently in certain areas following the laws set down beforehand.
And the police pretty much dispersed the illegal gatherings that were breaking multiple laws with kid gloves.
Question for you. Do you honestly believe the police were violent? Did you think used excessive force?
You understand the illegal gathering was not following legal police orders? What do you recommend when people do not voluntarily follow legal police orders? The police then have to force these people to disperse all the whole getting abused by the protesters.
So your statement here is so wrong is difficult for sane rational people to follow.
I won't say it is the most ridiculous statement ever on this board because honestly those would be incredulity big shoes of stupidity to fill.
But it is a notably moronic statement.

Does my choice reverse the obvious selective enforcement between now the three largest examples (four if you count the COVID condemnations and firings) from 2020 til now?
Here is most of you folks problems.
-Man gets jailed for a video he posted to YouTube in a scapegoat attempt by Obama and Hillary. What happens?? Mass condemnation of the guy who posted the video and he goes to jail.
-Riots that burn and destroy large swaths of cities, whose destruction is still evident in some places to this day, is fellated as “free speech and right to protest”
-Jan 6th and subsequent questioning of election results are then handled heavy handed and even used to destroy some people who did.
-Joe Biden then demands innoculation or loss of job. Hailed as a hero by the flip floppers. People who demanded freedom? Fired and discharged from military service.
-now this. Destruction of college assets in the name of free speech. The flip flop again to “free speech”
We tried to rationalize and claim “freedom!”. But as usual.. the double standard prevailed.
Just what exactly are we, that see this double standard, supposed to do… go along? Or demand equal footing??

The poster you called out was perfectly consistent with his J6 and current protest opinions. You were factually incorrect ans basically made up the idea that he supported summer 2020 riots to try to make some point that failed because, as stated, you made it up and that poster did not do the exact thing you claimed he did.
You were not. Are you going to clarify or continue to be contradictory in your opinions?

Against freedom? Link?
Again. We are just simply not up to date on the governments, and the left’s, approved reactions to the current thing.
Should they be throwing someone in jail for posting a YouTube video to cover for the government’s idiocy?
Should we then call arson, assault, looting, and theft, free speech as in the summer of 2000?
Should January 6th be considered the day democracy almost died and the government go to all lengths to prosecute all protesters?
Should we accept government heavy handed rules on vaccines and accept losing jobs and diacharge from the military?
Should we now accept this vandalism, threats, and assaults as “free speech” again?
We simply do not get the calendar invite as to how the left wants to handle things on that particular day. What you see as “anti-freedom” is simply confusion as to what exactly is acceptable today, or not, and why.
Also.. what makes the first amendment soo much greater than the second? This is basically what is done to the second amendment. “Hey! You can have this free speech.. just not the scary free speech!”
Again. Pure confusion. We can hack up the one amendment that says “shall not be infringed”… but we hold word for word to another? Another logical fallacy.
So what freedom is it on what days? And who sends out the calendar invite?
And it’s also curious when the self proclaimed freedom fighters show up on here… and also when they are completely absent.
