Anyone wear long sleeves in the summer? Sick of suntan lotion.
Also, any good shirt recommendations?

I wear these under my standard golf shirt when it's really hot.

Get them wet on the rnage before I play then reapply once on the front and once on the back and I'm usually good.

I've been using them since I was endurance training and racing (Ironman and such). I used them a bit different back then (stuff them with ice at aid stations) but I didnt mind if my hands go wet while running or cycling. The premise is the same when I play golf as in I want to keep them wet I just want my hands dry for golf.

I've found they work best when it's sunny...not just hot but keeping the sun off my skin. It's significantly cooler.

Bump:
I ordered a pair of FootJoy sun sleeves and a pair of the DeSoto sleeves. The DeSoto material has some sort of magic to them, I wore one DeSoto and one FJ. The DeSoto sleeve felt significantly cooler. I went ahead and ordered a second set. I’ll use the FJ sleeves during the spring and fall as a sun blocker. Thanks for the recommendation. I highly recommend the DeSoto sleeves.

Glad to hear it. I wore mine yesterday and drench them in water at every jug we pass.

Desoto is a quality product made for endurance athletes. Other manufactures like FJ are making knock off versions but I wouldn't trust a golf manufacturer to make something as good as what is made for endurance athletes. Brands like Desoto, Zoot, Castelli, Pearl Izumi, etc.

Stay away from the cheaper knock off stuff.

This is the way. They are actually cooling too.

I got some sleeves at academy, not sure of brand. They work great! Also got a high quality shirt that really breathes well.

I had made the mistake of getting a cheap one off Amazon, ended up being like 90% spandex. That does not breathe at all. Like wearing a plastic garbage bag.

Cheap sleeves or a cheap sun shirt?

I've heard multiple people say the same thing about cheap arm coolers / sleeves if thats the case.

These seem to be polarizing. I prefer the type you're describing because they do not retain water and dry so fast. Cotton is the enemy in humidity.

The sizing runs pretty much with shirt size?

Yea you can’t go cotton. I find polyester works best. A little spandex is ok. This was the brand but not exactl shirt:

It wicked fine, just breathed little.
The sleeves are great. Forgot the brand. Once they get wet they really start cooling your arms. I’m trying to for super sun protection this year.
