Hard to believe that someone would tamper with records and risk their job over 300 bucks. More likely someone tampered with records to get this guy fired. Sounds like someone wanted revenge for something.

Or this guy is really dumb and thought that either 1) nobody would notice or 2) he miscalculated and thought he would save 30000

It’s more like everyone in state government does things like this, however this guy got tattled on or busted.
