There is no justification to have Kling in the lineup. Consistent poor at bats, strikes out over 40% of his at bats. Flat has not earned his playing time.

The outfield play has been absolutely terrible when Kling sits. He’s the only true CF on the team that can crack the lineup

I feel he looks for a walk on most at bats. He would rather not have to swing his bat.

Yeah the mizzou commentators were talking about him like he was first round material. Smooth in the outfield and great on base ability. They kept saying that it was crazy.

Seems that ALL of the SEC opponents have figured out that he can't hit anything off speed. The problem is that he hasn't figured out how to fight them off.
Most hitting coaches would say attack fastballs early, until you can't, but he's not gunna see another fastball with a 2-strike count from another SEC pitcher until he shows that he has fixed it.

You would hope that by year two his pitch recognition would have improved at least, but it hasn't. He can't pick up spin, his confidence is clearly shot, and it's to the point now where he is simply guessing. That pitch he swung at against Nichols that was three feet off the plate is clear evidence of that.

He's a better hitter than Kling by a fairly wide margin.

Not lately he isn’t & Kling needs to be in CF

Not in the last month. Bingham is batting about .195 in April to Kling’s .250. Kling is also got an OB% in April that is about .150 better than Bingham.

We have been saying it for a few weeks now. Hide Kling in the 8 or 9 hole and move Braswell to leadoff. Consider anything Kling gives you on offense a bonus but stop expecting him to be the table setter. His glove is needed in CF.

A .155 hitter is not needed anywhere in the lineup. The goal of every spot in the batting order is to get on base not be an automatic out.

A lot, think he’s praying for a walk because he has such a lack of confidence in putting the ball in play. He’s just not a good hitter, there’s 2 seasons to prove it.

So you gonna sit Milam too?? his OBP in the sec is worse than Kling. And who are you playing in CF? Bingham practically has the same OBP in the sec as Kling and he isn’t in the same stratosphere defensively.

You really don't think we have anyone on the team who could play CF and hit more than .155? If that is the case Jay has done a horrible job putting team together. Seriously your only option in CF is a guy hitting .155 laughable.

Still waiting to hear from you who the best option at this point is…

How many season of D1 baseball have you coached?

Enough to know that you should have more than 1 option at each position
How many have you coached JML or are you a proponent of starting .155 hitters because you have no other options.
Fredbull at this point Kling has shown he cannot hit SEC pitching. .15t this year and below .200 last year. I would put anyone out there who can play center for a series at a time and see how they do. Kling is 0-6 in Auburn series so not like anyone could do any worse.

I haven’t coached at all
I’m just a fan that is reasonable enough to look at the bigger picture, not just strike outs & think that maybe a coach with over 400 wins in 600 games knows what he’s doing

Hey I believe Jay is a good coach but not perfect. Is your position according to you that Kling is the only option and that is why he plays? Because obviously if a .155 hitter is your only option you did make a mistake assembling your roster.
