24 year old house with brick facade.
I have waited too long to wash the exterior brick of dirt/mold/mildew or whatever...
What methods & concoctions have you found to work?

Call a brick company that sells bricks. They know.

This stuff works great on vinyl, haven't tried it on brick. Jomax is popular by users on here too, but I have not tried that yet.

I would check what this says about brick. I know that this works very well on painted wood siding that we have. Haven't tried brick.
I imagine you can just pressure wash brick no problem.

probably if you go easy, I'd be careful with the mortar and really high pressure though.

I've actually read that this is not a good idea unless you know there are no gaps/cracks/etc.
Pretty much have to fix all of those first or you risk pushing water between and behind the brick, or damaging any cracked mortar even more.
We have a brick home as well, and I pretty much just figured on using a giant arse brush and spend a nice Saturday working on it.

I did this at my old house when I was younger. Be very careful. I actually blasted the finish off the bricks and was left with red bricks 2 feet up from slab.

I have used a pressure washer in the past on our mailbox and pieces of mortar came off even without using the full pressure...
I'll look into Jomax....

Depends on the brick and mortar.
I have pressured my brick home and brick rental properties. Most are ok with 2600 PSI. But some brick may be soft and the mortar also. Not sure how to test other than trying it out.
"Soft Washing" is the new buzz word for using strong bleach and soap without the high pressure. That process is commonly used on roofs and the results are amazing. YouTube has videos showing the process on roofs and houses.

We painted our house with a layer of Kilz primer before putting on a coat of paint over our break. Not sure if OP has just unpainted brick for their home.

Id try that mold armor I recommended or maybe look at jomax.
It's pretty cheap and easy to use. Spray it on, let it sit for 15 minutes, and then come back and hose it off with a pressure washer that's not at full blast or standing a few feet away with the nozzle. See how that goes.
