Looking for a place a couple of hours from Lafayette to make a weekend trip. We have a 15 year old and a 12 year old. We do not want to go to New Orleans. Any ideas for a fun place to go?

Pretty limited with choice of only a few hours trip. You could look into renting a cabin at one of the state parks here or in MS.

Maybe find a place to stay that has a pool down on the MS coast. There is a small amusement park in Biloxi if you want to waste some money.

A little longer drive and you could see about staying at the Marriott Grand Resort in Point Clear Alabama.

Natchitoches is the closest option. Natchez at 2.5. Even Galveston is 4 ish hours.
