What's your favorite cheap guitar ?
All my stuff is pretty cheap...my most expensive piece is Gibson Studio Faded T - got it for $500 used.
It's a great guitar, but the guitar I grab to play the most is a $100 Indio OS30 (the white one). Once it got a good setup, it plays like butter. (These are my 1st P90 pickups, and I really like them)
Any of y'all have a cheap guitar that just bonds with you ?

I guess it's a tie, between my yellow Telly and my Les Paul Jr. Stewmac kit guitar. I've posted photos on here of both of them in the past.
The Telly is a 90s Squier Standard that I bought at a pawn shop a few years ago w case for 100 bucks.
I sold the case for 100 bucks, put a new pickguard and fixed the wiring on the guitar. I really never even played it before a guy wanted to buy it.
He never paid me though, and the guitar found it's way back to me. Still in perfect shape.
So, I started playing it a bit. It's a great guitar in every way and I only had 12 dollars in it.
Last year, I decided to put a set of Fretshack's custom wound P90 telly pickups in it.
It's absolutely fantastic now and I have a little more than 312 bucks in it.
The Les Paul Jr. I built from a Stewmac Kit that was on closeout for $150.00. It turned out really well, so last year I replaced the P90 with a splittable mini-humbucker from GFS and put a push/pull tone pot on for the split.
It's awesome, and I have less than $250.00 in it.
I have more expensive guitars, but these are the 2 that I play the most.

Almost all I've ever owned were cheap guitars because I never felt I was committed enough to playing to buying anything more expensive. I mostly buy Squier guitars because they have the bigger budget looks with decent enough playability and quality. I also bought an entry-level Ibanez bass and a Series 10 electric guitar in the past.
The one exception was my very first bass guitar--a pastel pink BC Rich Warlock.
ETA: I currently own a black Squier jaguar bass and a sunburst Squier stratocaster.

I admit that I am an electric guitar snob. I've always had nice electrics around.
That said, when my son was offered guitar lessons in school, I needed to buy him a cheap acoustic. The teacher recommended that I buy a Big Baby Taylor. It has a smaller scale and was like $399. Fifteen years later, that guitar still gets played as much or more than anything in our house. It holds tune perfectly and is incredibly easy to play.

My favorite cheap guitars are the PRS Mcarty 594 SE I got used for $500 and a PRS SE Hollowbody II I got for $700. My favorite cheap acoustic is my Iris DF I bought used for $1600.

Ibanez and Yamaha are great values across the board.
Ovation has some insane values in their international line, if you like the way they make guitars (which I do).
And, Seagull, of course.
As opposed to "cheap", my pick for "best value" is probably a Yamaha Pacifica.

Harley Benton DC Junior. I bought it used with SD Antiquity P90 and Wilkinson bridge upgrades. I paid $260 for it. Good guitar and the pickup sounds great. I like this guitar so much, shortly after I bought a Gibson Les Paul DC Special.

I used to work offshore and wanted an "offshore guitar" to play while I was out there.
I purchased a Jasmine S35 from Amazon for like 120 bucks. When I got it offshore, I downloaded the specs from Martin for their guitars. I took the time to learn how to set it up and did so.
That guitar sounds incredible, it's always in tune and plays incredibly well. Folks would play it and were shocked it was a 100 dollar guitar.
