Several years ago Chuck Knoblack (sp?) played 2nd base for the Yankees. He went through a period where he couldn’t throw to 2nd. It was a major mental funk for him.

I think that’s a big part of what LSU is going through. They went pre-season good although schedule was weak. And beginning of conference schedule has been tough. But, they are in a major mental funk. And when you are in that you start pressing. Just my 2 cents

Knoblauch.

And we definitely have some guys that are fighting it right now. I don't think we full out have the yips though.

He had the yips.

wasn't just a funk. it ended his career. Went from a gold glove second baseman to out of the major leagues over the yips

One of my son’s high school senior season featured a catcher who no longer could throw from home to 2nd base nor 3rd base without bouncing it several times somehow and off line. He was also good for a handful of crap throws back to the pitcher. He often had to take 3 steps or more toward the pitcher and then the pitcher had to take several steps towards him. It was nuts and he finally had to be spelled by the backup after the other teams noted this peculiarity.

I remember in the 90's there was a catcher for the Indians who couldn't throw the ball back to the pitcher. He ended up correcting it by reciting articles from a nude magazine out loud right before he threw the ball.

while LSU has laid some eggs on Sundays, a lot of the Fri\Sat games are right there.......I think the youth on this team has "learned how to lose" those games for now..........hoping they learn how to start winning those games and make the turn.

Knoblauch was on that 1989 best team ever A&M squad that LSU bounced in their Regional.

Knoblack's throwing problem was to first base. He played the second base position.
