Neal, Travinski and Jones! Boy if we could face In State Pitching on weekends!

So Jones and Travinski can't hit home runs against SEC pitchers? There is way more evidence to suggest you are wrong. But don't let that stop you.

We hit 2 homeruns at Tennessee.

At this point, I'm really glad for Neal that he hit one. I dont care who it was against. It had to feel good for him to hit the damn ball. Hopefully he gets some momentum going.
Jones mashed that curve ball and almost had another. Jones has taken that next step compared to last year when he couldn't hit anything breaking.
And I won't be complaining that Trav hit one also. This team has been close to getting it going. I'm hopeful they can get it some hits against Mizzou.

We don’t need to face in state pitching on weekends. Just need to quit swinging for the fence every at bat on weekends.

How about just making good contact? So often we’re looking at third strikes, or swinging away instead of protecting the plate.

Pretty sure JJ has a rule that we can only hit home runs with no one on base.

That’s great and all, but I’ll take solid contact by more than 1 batter at a time. Clutch hitting (RISP) is more a concern to me than long balls. How many times against Tenner did we get a lead off on, only to swing away or sit there looking?

Hitting home runs hasn’t been our problem on the weekends.

Out of all the homers we've hit this season, how many were solo? We can't get anyone on base for RBI opportunities. When they do get on base, we just strikeout.

Don't be a dumbass. Travinski is one of our most consistent players b/t conference and non-conference games.
SEC Play
.296 BA (16 for 54)
4 HRs (1 per 13.5 ABs)
Non SEC Play
.315 BA (24 for 76)
6HRs (1 per 12.7 ABs)
Combined
.308 BA
10 HRs (1 per 13 ABs)

This is more evidence the problem isn't talent but confidence.
These guys need to get their mental head game fixed for conference series.
