He won't be the same player if he doesn't have his explosiveness. It's not as simple as just "letting him play." Sure, he could give it a go, and if he reinjures it, you haven't really lost anything since he has 5 months to heal; but I don't think the team will be very good if he's out there unable to drive and jump.

Lets be honest we have seen even an out of shape Zion be a threat. Against the thunder even if he isnt as explosive- his ability to create space in the post is a valuable threat. Honestly, he has nothing to lose if he reinjurss it- has the whole offseason to recover. We’re also not sure if he cant drive or jump. We have no idea what grade it is.

Grade 1 strain: takes 2 to 5 days to recover. Again hoping its a lower level strain. The fact theres reports hes walking fine and good spirits leans towards it being a low grade strain but again we’ll see.
