The whole idea that he can instruct Israel to just ignore this attack since yhe results weren't that bad is textbook liberal idealism and could not be more disconnected from reality. The same goes for his "please just don't" statement to Iran.

Seriously though, we have been the hyper power for so long that these idiots think that we fully dictate other countries’ actions instead of shaping them toward our ends.
