This. Evangelical misunderstanding of the Bible is one of the most harmful things in American history.

It's why we have all the societal evils that we do thanks in very large part to the "Chosen people" exerting their anti-Christian ideology throughout the west.

What exactly is being misunderstood and how SHOULD we actually understand it? You know, so we understand it the way you think it should be understood.

To think I named my dog (and TD screenname) after Winston Churchill. I was ignorant back in 2007.

Oh... then what group of people does the Bible speak of when it speaks of God's chosen people?

Matthew 24. The Jews rejected their Messiah. It was a pretty big error. 40 years later their temple was destroyed, and 65 years after that they were uprooted.

The Jews have been in that area a lot longer before the other Arab religion even existed, dumb arse.

It’s not really Muslims. It’s Palestinians.

His answer will likely be that those Jews spoken of in the Bible are not the same Jews that we have today. Today's Jews are different and therefore not God's chosen people.

They had their own country when they led the Bolsheviks into overthrowing the Tsar.

Was Russia not enough for them?

He gave it to Christians. Israel is the name for a promised Christian State.

The Khazarians (fake Talmudic Jews), then used it as the name for their new ethno-state.

You seem to forget that there were Jews there before Islam was even thought of.

You’d be surprised how many people think the Jews went to the Middle East in the 1940s.
