As of last summer, 63% of new audits targeted taxpayers with income of less than $200,000," reports the Wall Street Journal. "Only a small overall share reached the very highest earners, while 80% of audits covered filers earning less than $1 million.
I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of those 80% either voted for or gave political contributions to Trump.

Here is another. Unless Trump’s Tax Cuts get renewed, they revert back to Obama’s in 2025. That means no more standard deduction of $24,000. Trump also had that number increase with inflation so it was even better.
In 2025 it drops back to 12,000 to Obama’s numbers.
That means your taxes go up hugely if Dems cheat another victory.

Would be curious to know what percentage of total taxpayers fall in that under $200k, as well as the under $1M in annual earnings.
In other words, if 80% of the total returns is for people earning under $1M, wouldn't that number be a fair representation?

Two Years in a Row that I have to pay over $6000 at the end of the year. This is the only times I have ever not gotten $$ at the end of the year. If you are a two income household then you better get ready because they are coming after you!!

Bet me, the first thing they look at is how you voted and if you are a registered R you are on top of the audit pile. If you voted as a listless vessel you are going down with endless nastygrams.
